The Federal Government of Nigeria had on Tuesday, May 16 urged the incoming administration of the President-elect, Bola Tinubu, to reinforce the anti-corruption and reform-minded agencies in the country to effectively contribute to the nation’s robust economic and public finance.
The Minister of Finance, Budget, and National Planning, Zainab Ahmed, while speaking in Abuja at the launch of the Gender and Environmental Reporting Frameworks for Nigeria’s oil, gas, and mining sectors, had remarked that the anti-corruption agencies were all well positioned to guide and shape governmental policies.
Her statement had come as she remarked upon the latest frameworks, put together by the Nigeria Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative, which would help in resolving the negative impact of oil, gas, and mineral exploration in host communities across Nigeria.
