The Election Petition Tribunal Court convened on Wednesday. Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and the People’s Democratic Party, who are the petitioners through their counsels Mr Chris Uche, SAN informed the court that they have three Subpoenaed witnesses, they were allowed to call the first one, who was an ad hoc staff of INEC during the February 25th elections.

However the respondents seemed unsettled by this, as they immediately through their counsels objected to it, as according to them, they are not prepared to cross-examine the witness, having been served the witness statement on Wednesday, and also they need time to go over the records of the witness, to see if he was actually an ad-hoc staff of INEC during the Presidential elections. Despite the plea by the counsel of the Petitioners that the court should hear the witness, as subpoenaed witness don’t use to be seriously cross-examined the counsel objected to this, insisting that the proceedings be adjourned.

Justice Haruna Tsammani, the Chairman of the court, in order to give the respondents time to study the witness statement of the Subpoenaed witness, the proceedings were adjourned to Thursday.

The Presidential election tribunal still goes on as the Atiku Abubakar and PDP are in to prove that the February 25th elections were not conducted in accordance with the Electoral Act 2022, according to them there were some shady activities in the elections, and Nigerians cannot wait for this to be over in order to Know who actually won the February 25th presidential elections, since Peter Obi and Atiku Abubakar are challenging Tinubu’s victory in court.

The President has since been inaugurated on Monday, and has assumed his duties, regardless of all the claims that his victory in the elections is decietful, it’s left to decide after all the evidences have tabled by the petitioners, who the actual winner of the election is.
