The Middle Belt Forum (MBF) has strongly criticized Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai, the former Governor of Kaduna State, branding him as a dangerous politician who should be avoided by his successor, Uba Sani, and President Bola Tinubu.

The MBF also emphasized that the alleged agenda for the Islamization of Nigeria, despite being denied by some, is indeed real and not a mere coincidence.

In addition, the organization called upon security agencies to closely monitor El-Rufai and requested that the Department of State Services interrogate him, referring to him as a “dangerous manipulator” skilled in exploiting religious sentiments.

The MBF’s reaction was prompted by El-Rufai’s provocative statements on the eve of his departure from office, where he revealed his involvement in plotting the continuation of a Muslim-Muslim ticket in Kaduna State for another 20 years, asserting that it was essential for peace.

The group accused El-Rufai of being responsible for the numerous deaths that occurred in Kaduna State during his tenure as governor. They further stated that he is dangerous due to his association with a group striving for the dominance of the Islamic faith in positions of power.

Dr. Isuwa Dogo, the National Publicity Secretary of MBF, released a statement highlighting El-Rufai’s failure to mention that under his leadership, the state became a hub for kidnappings and violent acts, resulting in the deaths of tens of thousands of people and the destruction of over 100 communities.

According to Dr. Dogo, El-Rufai poses a present and future threat to the unity of the nation. He alleges that El-Rufai is subtly working for a group aiming to establish Islamic supremacy in the corridors of power.

Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu are advised to exercise caution when associating with El-Rufai.

The MBF firmly believes that this skilled manipulator, who frequently exploits religious sentiments for political gain, must be kept away from positions of power. They consider him a national menace that should be avoided at all costs.

While the MBF’s statement contains some valid concerns, it should be noted that accusing or speculating about a person’s involvement in a crime without evidence is offensive and should not be done.
