As of the time of writing this news report, 12 people have been injured, leaving 34 persons dead in a road crash involving a bus and a car in Algeria earlier this morning, Wednesday, July 19.
The road accident have been confirmed by Algeria’s fire service.
The car accident had occurred about 4 a.m. (03:00 GMT) in the city of Tamanrasset, a 1,500 km (930 miles) journey south of the capital Algiers.
The 34 deceased individuals had burned to death due to the fire that followed the collision, according to a statement said.
Fatal road accidents are not common in the country as official sources have revealed that 907 persons had perished in various road accidents in 2022.
