In a heartwarming development, the Ogun State Police Command has announced the discovery of Solomon Destiny, the missing 200-level student from the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta. This young scholar is currently receiving medical care at an undisclosed hospital.

The spokesperson for the state’s police force, SP Omolola Odutola, relayed this reassuring news to the press. She expressed her gratitude for the swift and proactive actions taken by the media and proudly announced that the missing student has been found and is alive, albeit in need of medical attention.

This positive outcome follows concerns raised by the Students’ Union Government of the university, who had reported Solomon’s disappearance. According to them, he was last seen in Ogboja village along the Oluwo-Osiele axis of Abeokuta. They had requested any useful information that could aid in locating him.

Meanwhile, Mr. Kola Adepoju, the Head of the Directorate of Public Relations at FUNAAB, confirmed the incident and assured everyone that the university’s management and security agencies were diligently working to find the missing student and safely reunite him with his family and fellow students.

While details remain limited at this time, Adepoju conveyed the encouraging news to news correspondents and promised to provide further updates. This development comes as a significant relief, considering the unfortunate cases of missing students in Nigeria, some of whom tragically remain unfound or are discovered deceased. It underscores the pressing security challenges facing the country, highlighting the need for urgent improvements in the security system.
