In a somber turn of events, Assistant Commissioner of Police ACP Oluseye Odunmbaku, who served in the Bayelsa State Police Command, has passed away. The sad news was officially conveyed by the command through a brief statement from its spokesperson, Asinim Butswat, on Tuesday.

The late ACP Odunmbaku held a crucial role as the head of operations within the command until his untimely demise. The Bayelsa State Police Command expressed deep sorrow at the loss and announced the availability of a condolence register at their headquarters in Ovom, Yenagoa, for those wishing to pay their respects.

Although the official statement did not specify the date of his passing, we’ve learned that ACP Odunmbaku breathed his last on Saturday, October 14, 2023. Tragically, he reportedly collapsed in his residence located within an estate in the state’s capital, Yenagoa.

Our hearts go out to his family, colleagues, and loved ones during this difficult time. May his soul find eternal peace.
