The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun, the Inspector-General of Police is ready and all set to institute a Special Intervention Squad, SIS to arrest the recent increase in kidnapping, killing and other reported activities of bloodthirsty bandits in the Federal Capital Territory – FCT.
The IGP remarked that the special operations, when established, would be deployed to all Area Councils in the nation’s capital city.

This news update is coming after netizens and citizens of Nigeria alike have bemoaned the numerous attack and kidnapped cases in the FCT and neighbouring state, Nasaarawa within the past few weeks.
President Bola Tinubu and the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike have given assurances to residents, saying that they were both committed to ensuring that the security situation in the country is brought under control.
