Big trouble in Rivers State! The immediate past Speaker of the House, Ehie, and his crew of five – Jinjiri Bala, Happy Benedict, Progress Joseph, Adokiye Oyagiri, and Chibuike Peter (aka Rambo) – just got slapped with arrest warrants. Why? Well, the cops say they’re behind some seriously bad stuff: conspiracy, arson, terrorism, even murder of a police officer and several informants.

This whole mess started back in October, when political tensions in Port Harcourt went nuclear. The House of Assembly got trashed, flames licked the sky, and sadly, lives were lost. Now, the finger of blame points squarely at Ehie and his gang.

But wait, there’s a twist! Just two weeks ago, five other Port Harcourt guys – Chime Eguma, Prince Lukman, Kenneth Kpasa, Osiga Donald, and Ochueja Thankgod – got nabbed for the same alleged terrorism charges. They’re currently chilling in Kuje Prison, waiting for their bail hearing on February 2nd.

So, what’s going on here? Is Ehie pulling a Houdini act, escaping the long arm of the law? Well, not exactly. While the court ordered his arrest, another court (talk about confusing!) issued a restraining order, basically telling the cops to leave Ehie alone.

This is where things get spicy. Two conflicting court orders? Who do the police listen to? Will Ehie face justice? Will the truth about the Rivers mayhem come out? Only time will tell. But one thing’s for sure, the drama in Port Harcourt is far from over.
