Abdullahu Sule, Nasarawa State Governor, has madd an entreaty to traders in the state to desist from hoarding foodstuffs for profit.

This call had been made during a meeting with members of the Nasarawa State Traders and Marketers Association at the Government House, in Lafia, highlighting the need for collective action to fight the practice of hoarding essential food items.

The governor had also expressed worry over the propensity of certain traders to buy and hoard food items, and then patiently waiting for prices to skyrocket before they sell the goods at a higher rate than they bought it.

Sule had pointed out the insensitivity of such actions in this trying times when a lot of people are struggling to afford the basic necessities.
