The child custody proceedings between Queen Mercy and Lord Lamba, scheduled for May 23, 2024, at a magistrate court in Ogba Lagos, have been postponed to July 18, 2024, for further hearing.

According to reports, Lord Lamba and his lawyers weren’t present at the hearing. A representative for Lord Lamba, who attended the court session, expressed uncertainty about the reason for the skit maker’s absence.

A source said to Instablog, “Today was the court hearing and Queen was there but her baby daddy didn’t show up. His lawyer didn’t come. Instead, he sent his assistant to represent him. Because he didn’t appear in court, his lawyer requested a new date, so it was adjourned to 18th of July for hearing”.

Previously, it was claimed that Lord Lamba filed a child custody petition against Queen Mercy Atang without informing her. The case had been heard twice without Queen Mercy Atang’s awareness. After Queen Mercy Atang’s lawyers investigated, she became aware of the court date, but Lord Lamba failed to appear.

The initial court dates were set for March 7th and April 4th. The intention was for the proceedings to continue without Queen Mercy’s awareness, potentially leading to a ruling in Lord Lamba’s favor.

However, her lawyers advised her to attend court to ascertain if he had completely withdrawn the case.
He hasn’t been providing financial support for the child’s care. The mediator attempting to reconcile them mentioned that his justification for not sending money is because he hasn’t seen the baby. “Queen is not bothered about him sending money, she doesn’t even need his money. All she wants is for her child to be with her, so she can give her the best upbringing, that’s all.”

All of these problems started when Queen announced her engagement and marriage to her husband. Then the content creator, lord lamba filed a legal case, to obtain full custody of their daughter, Princess Keilah, who’s barely two years old. Many comments have been dropped saying he is just jealous and doesn’t want her happiness. People are angry, calling him a Wicked Man, saying he never wanted the child and he just wanted to disrupt her marriage, asking why he doesn’t withdraw the case since he’s too busy to attend and so on.

The big question remains, Why Didn’t Lord Lamba Show Up?
