The Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, and Trade Union Congress, TUC, have suspended the nationwide strike.
This latest news update was to give room for continuous meetings with the tripartite committee on the new national minimum wage.
This news was confirmed by the TUC chairman, Festus Osifo on Tuesday, June 4.
Earlier, the Labour leaders had a private meeting with the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF, George Akume, and other government officials on Monday, June 3 to come to a resolution of a new minimum wage being higher than the proposed N60,000.
