President Bola Ahmed Tinubu had on Friday, June 7, commissioned a new Vice President residence said that providing a suitable residence for the Vice President was a mark of respect for the office and the individual who would occupy it.
The commissioning was done as part of the activities commemorating his first year in office.
President Tinubu, who was represented by his VP at the function, Kashim Shettima had recounted how the VP’s residence project had faced several challenges over the years, including setbacks and abandonment by past administrations.
The President then stressed that the completion of the VP’s residence project, which began in 2010, was in line with his Renewed Hope Agenda, which was targeted towards completing uncompleted projects that would benefit every Nigerians.
Lastly, he commended the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike for taking up the responsibility, describing him as an achiever.
