The Kuwait Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Friday has issued an urgent advisory urging its citizens to immediately leave Lebanon, citing the heightened risk of conflict between Hezbollah and Israel.

According to a high-ranking US official, speaking exclusively to a prominent Kuwaiti newspaper, the recent achievement of Hezbollah’s drone in capturing high-resolution imagery of Israel has raised grave concerns about the potential for a full-scale war between the two adversaries. This development has prompted Kuwait to take proactive measures to ensure the safety of its citizens.

The Kuwait Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued a statement admonishing its citizens to refrain from traveling to Lebanon until further notice. Those currently residing in Lebanon are advised to depart at their earliest convenience, while those unable to leave are urged to contact the Kuwaiti Embassy in Beirut for assistance and guidance.

This extraordinary advisory comes on the heels of a prolonged period of tensions between Hezbollah and Israel, which have been escalating steadily since 1997.

That year, a ban was imposed on commercial satellite imaging firms providing high-resolution imagery of Israel, a move aimed at mitigating the risk of sensitive information falling into the wrong hands.

However, Hezbollah’s recent success in deploying a drone capable of capturing such imagery has significantly heightened concerns about the potential for a conflict.

As the regional landscape continues to evolve, Kuwait’s proactive stance serves as a testament to its unwavering commitment to the safety and well-being of its citizens. The international community remains vigilant, monitoring developments closely as the situation unfolds.
