On July 8, 2024, the multi-award-winning superstar surprised fans by announcing his second album ‘He Is,’ set for release on July 11, 2024. This announcement came shortly after Rema dropped his second single of the year, ‘Hehehe,’ where he addresses his critics and reaffirms his position alongside the Nigerian music industry’s top artists.

Rema kicked off 2024 with the release of ‘Benin Boy’ featuring Shallipopi and has since teased songs that blend gothic rock imagery and fast tempos with Afrobeats through its drum arrangements and language.

His upcoming album, ‘He Is,’ is anticipated to heavily incorporate elements from his recent artistic exploration, which began with his acclaimed 2023 EP ‘Ravage.’ With this album, Rema aims to surpass his successful debut, ‘Raves & Roses,’ which featured the global hit ‘Calm Down’ with Selena Gomez.

Although the tracklist for ‘He Is’ has not been revealed yet, Shallipopi is expected to feature, along with rapper Odumodublvck, who Rema has hinted will appear on a new single in the album.
