Popular media figure Daddy Freeze has responded to the N5 million fine upheld by the Appeal Court for allegedly having an affair with another man’s wife. Previously, on February 18, 2021, a Rivers State High Court in Port Harcourt had ordered Daddy Freeze to pay N5 million for committing adultery with Benedicta Elechi.
The fine was to be paid to Paul Odekina, who was married to Benedicta Elechi at the time. Unsatisfied with the initial judgment, Daddy Freeze sought redress from the Appeal Court.
Addressing the accusations of infidelity with a married woman on his Instagram live show, Daddy Freeze denied the allegations. He emphasized his willingness to pay the fine, stating that his wristwatch alone is worth over N100 million, but maintained his innocence, explaining that the events occurred over 12 years ago when both he and the woman were enduring significant personal struggles.
