Singer Young Jonn has been candid about the difficulties he had making the switch from producer to performer.
The hardest thing, he said in an interview with Isi Ijewere on Backstage Banter, was convincing himself that he could be a successful performer.
Young Jonn talked about his emotional side as well, revealing that the last time he had shed a tear was after his mother passed away.
He admitted that people frequently lie to themselves in order to feel better, and when questioned about his biggest turn-off, he stated that he dislikes people who are not true to themselves, emphasising the need of honesty.
“ The hardest part was convincing myself that I could do it.That was the most difficult moment, since I was on stage wondering if I wanted to do this or not. It was incredibly difficult for me to convince myself that I got this.”

“I believe that everyone lies to themselves about something in order to feel better.
“What’s your biggest ick?” Isi asked. “I dislike people who are untrue to themselves. “I detest them.”
He said, “Let me not use the word ‘detest’ because it is probably not that serious.
I believe that being true to yourself allows you to be true to others; yet, if you are not true to yourself, you are living a lie.”
