Governor Siminalayi Fubara while addressing irate protesters who came out in their numbers to protest against bad government in the country, offered monetary gift to the protesters to appease them, but was rejected.
At 12:01pm, the River State Governor, acknowledged their pain and demand for a better economics activities in Nigeria. He promised to narrate their ordeal to President Tinubu.
Governor Siminalayi offer of a ‘small thing’ to help sustain the protesters in the present economy was met with disdain. Many protesters felt belittled, saying “ How much can you give us? We want food governance and economic policies, not money.” The protesters added, “Keep your money, give up good governance!”
The protesters’ in River State has showed determination to end bad governance, they seek better policies that affect their lives.
