What they’re saying

She wrote: “This is to put an end to the story that I was detained, which is being spread by unemployed people.

“Let me declare unequivocally that I was not arrested or detained by the police or any law enforcement agency of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

“I’m in my house, enjoying God’s gift. I am a law-abiding citizen in my role as a member of diplomatic society.

“I have a greater responsibility to live above board in all I do; becoming involved in crime and criminalities is not one of them. “There is a world of difference between assisting law enforcement agencies in performing their duties properly and becoming involved in criminal activity.

“In my life, I have never received a search warrant, arrest warrant, or any other type of warrant from the Good Office of the Nigeria Police. “Whatever the rumour peddlers are up to, I don’t care; my commitment is to the Federal Republic of Nigeria as a law-abiding citizen, and to that end, I will always honour invitations extended to me, whether to assist law enforcement agencies in their work or to clarify issues.

“This is without prejudice to the fact that I will exercise my rights against anyone, person, or group of people who attempt to spread false information about me or my brand or defame my character.” I’ll come for you with the law. “This is simply to let people behind this fake narrative know that they failed miserably. Thank you, and may God bless you everyone. Her Excellency, Ambassador King Tonto Dikeh.

Bottom Line

Tonto’s warning about exercising her rights against those spreading false information demonstrates her willingness to take legal action if necessary. This can serve as a deterrent to those who might consider spreading unverified or false information about her in the future.
