Get ready, fans of Blood Sisters, as the Netflix drama phenomenon makes a return with even more juice, danger, and scandals than ever. The confirmation that Blood Sisters Season 2 is underway, by the CEO of Ebonylife Group Mo Abudu, has ignited fans excitement wildly online.

The stakes are now higher than ever, following the excellent success recorded from its first season, which pulled an astonishing 11 million views in its opening week.

Abudu announced the bombshell on her Instagram page, writing, “BLOOD SISTERS SEASON 2 IN THE WORKS”. According to her, after 18 months of grueling development with powerhouse writers Craig Freimond, Zeli Zulu, and Adze Ugah, the show is set to dive back into the dangerous life of the two sisters, Sarah and Kemi. “We had the most amazing table read this past week”, Abudu teased.

And here’s the part that’s sending fans into a tizzy: Just about all of your favorite characters are returning for even more drama, and plot twists that will leave you gasping.

Lensed by Biyi Bandele and Kenneth Gyang, Season 1 left viewers at the edge, but come Season 2, it’s going to take over under the helm of Daniel Oriahi and Kayode Kasum. Oriahi, who left the world speechless with his psychological thriller The Weekend, alongside Kasum, the mastermind behind box office films like Sugar Rush and Soole, will definitely bring on board a more explosive plot for sure.

We follow Sarah and Kemi on the run after the shocking murder of Sarah’s abusive fiancé, Kola. The tension remains high, and with enemies closing in, secrets lurking at every turn, this is a pulse-pounding plot that will show no mercy on the viewers. The returning cast: Genoveva Umeh, Kate Henshaw, and Uche Jombo promises even more of those intense confrontations and some shocking betrayals that characterized Season 1.

That’s not where the excitement stops, though. Abudu promises Blood Sisters 2 will be “packed with twists, turns, and edge-of-your-seat drama”. Netflix, which continues to back the series, is ready to serve up another helping of the salacious world of Nigeria’s elite, where the cost of survival is steep. Filming is just weeks away, but already, fans are abuzz with anticipation of how the lives of Sarah and Kemi will unravel. From love to betrayal, revenge to redemption, Blood Sisters is coming back fiercer, bolder, and more jaw-dropping than ever. Suffice it to say, this season is going to be an all-out war for survival, and nobody is safe.
