Nollywood actress Sola Kosoko Abina has spoken candidly about the difficulty of managing a thriving acting career alongside personal business ventures.
In a recent interview, the movie star explained that the demanding nature of acting often leaves little room for entrepreneurs in the industry to run other businesses efficiently.
She noted that the workload on set can be overwhelming. “Acting doesn’t leave much room for other ventures,” she said.

Kosoko shared an example from her own experience, recalling how she once operated a boutique selling clothes, bags, and jewellery, but the business struggled because her acting schedule kept her away. She added that “the only way to make it work is to have a competent and trustworthy person to manage the business while you are on set.”
On balancing her career with family life, the actress credited her husband’s understanding and support. “If you have an understanding husband who appreciates your profession, it becomes much easier,” she explained, noting that he has always accepted the demands of her job since “I met my husband even before I became very popular.”
