Nigerian movie producer Adanma Luke has tendered an apology following the death of an actor Junior Pope and several other members in a boating accident while on their way to her shooting location in April 2024. The incident sparked widespread criticism, with many social media users blaming Luke for the unfortunate event.
Almost a month ago in an Instagram story, she shared her pain and grief about the loss while admitting that she has received a lot of criticism. She noted that the situation has affected her in a very terrible way resulting to depression. However she added that she is absolutely broken through the incident, not withstanding the efforts she used to display strength.
Luke explained that she had taken precautions by requesting life jackets for her cast and crew, but local townspeople assured her that the boats were typically used without them. She stated that she was deeply, extremely sorry that the situation happened when she was conducting her project and asked pardon from people as she feels so guilty.
