According to Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, the nation is currently experiencing conditions similar to those of war.
Adeboye revealed this on Sunday at the congregation’s regular Thanksgiving ceremony, which simultaneously marks Nigeria’s 62nd anniversary of independence.
Perfect peace throughout the country was the topic of the minister’s sermon, which was based on II Chronicles 7:13–14.
According to Adeboye, perfect peace lasts forever and is characterized by the absence of conflict and storms. He mentioned many classifications for storms.
He asserts that traditional leaders used to be revered and treated as deities, adding that they are today being abducted without cause.
He said, “In the olden days, except you are one of the special people, they don’t allow the king’s dress to touch you. But thank God.
“Now kidnappers can go to the palace to kidnap the king. We are in a war situation, let no one deceive you.”
Adeboye emphasized that God would bring an end in the end while he was prophesying the end was near. “What kings and soldiers can’t do, the Almighty God will do for you,” he added.
Adeboye asked the populace to stop criticizing their leaders and insisted that instead, people should pray for them.
He bemoaned the fact that criticism had become the preferred course of action rather than praying for solutions.
“Pray for the rulers, we have spent so much time criticizing them,” the General Overseer said. You should offer them prayers. I’m praying for them, and I hope you’ll join me.
