Adidas, a major sportswear company, is probing claims that Kanye West had exposed his then-wife, Kim Kardashian to his Yeezy team members and openly discussed porn at work.
Reports had it that West’s team members had written in a letter that they felt ‘bullied and intimidated’ by him, while also accusing the rap star’s sponsors of turning off their moral compasses.
This allegation is coming after Adidas had severed its Yeezy partnership with Kanye West after he showed a “White Lives Matter” T-shirt design at Paris Fashion Week.
The company, while cutting ties with West had said that it would take a “short-term” loss of €250m (£217m) to its income for 2022, after deciding to stop the brand’s business with immediate effect. The shocking claims were first made in a feature that Rolling Stone published this week.
The shocking claims had originally been made in a feature that Rolling Stone published this week via an article of a letter titled: ‘The Truth About Yeezy: A Call to Action for Adidas Leadership’, where West was accused of being aggressive in the workplace, particularly towards women.
While commenting on the allegation, Adidas said: “It is currently not clear on whether the accusations made in the anonymous letter are true, however, we take these allegations very seriously and have decided to launch an independent investigation into the matter immediately, to address the allegations.”
