Alfred Schreuder, Ajax’s head coach has given some updates concerning Calvin Bassey’s Injury.
If we can recall, Calvin Bassey who expressed his joy in participating in the champions league, sustained an injury in an Ajax match with SC Heerenveen, after defeating Heerenveen by 5-0.
Bassey had to be taken off the pitch, six minutes left to the end of the game, due to the minor injury he sustained. Many fans were worried that Bassey might not feature in Ajax’s match against Liverpool in the Champions League on Tuesday.
According to Schreuder, Bassey only sustained a minor injury, as the injury isn’t that bad, it was just a kick on the calf. He further said that Bassey confirmed that it’s no big deal.
“We were able to switch well. Maybe we switch the last player a little too early, but I thought we could do that”.
“Fortunately, Calvin Bassey is not so bad. It was a kick in the calf, so that’s not too bad.”
When quizzed further about the injury Schreuder added:” He (Bassey) said it’s no problem.”
