The All Progressives Grand Alliance, (APGA) has clinched the September 28 local government elections in Anambra State, clearing all chairmanship and councillorship seats across the 21 local government areas of the state.
Genevieve Osakwe, the Chairman of the Anambra State Independent Electoral Commission, ANSIEC, had announced the results at the ANSIEC office in Awka.
Osakwe, who declared the election a free and fair one had said that ANSIEC carefully collated and analysed the results to ensure that there were no errors.
She added that none of the opposition candidates nor political parties and their party agents had come to the ANSIEC office where the election results was declared.
Finally, she hailed the people of the State for trooping out en masse to exercise their civic rights, while also appreciating security agencies for ensuring peace and orderliness during the entire process.

“This is to affirm the result of the chairmanship and councillorship election held on September 28, 2024. The commission carefully collated and analysed the results to ensure that there were no mistakes.
