The Anambra State Government has given the go-ahead for a bureau of missing persons to be established.
Paul Nwosu, the Commissioner for Information in the state, disclosed this in a statement on Saturday, April 22, stating that the approval was recently granted at the State Executive Council meeting.
According to Nwosu, the missing person bureau would have a domiciliary in the Ministry of Justice, and the primary purpose of the establishment of the bureau would be to partially fulfill the recommendation by the Truth, Justice, and Peace Commission as well as to investigate missing person cases and get the needed database to support official police investigations and the eventual prosecution of suspects.
