The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Kogi State, Usman Ododo has been announced the winner of the Saturday, November 11 poll.
Ododo’s victory had been announced by the State Returning Officer, Professor Johnson Urama who made the declaration at 10:23 pm on Sunday night.
Urama had said:
“Ahmed Usman Ododo of APC, having satisfied the prerequisites of the law is hereby announced the winner of the election and is returned elected.”
Ododo had emerged winner with 446,237 votes, beating his closest rival, Murtala Ajaka a candidate of the Social Democratic Party, SDP, who polled a total of 259,052 votes.
Meanwhile, Dino Melaye, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, candidate had gotten a total of 46,362 votes.
