The All Progressives Congress candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has stated that he is ready to “wrestle with pigs” and live with the dirt associated with politics in Nigeria.
Tinubu had said this while dodging the majority of the questions put at him, while speaking at Chatham House in London, United Kingdom, on Monday, December 5, where he addressed the many controversies surrounding his age, school, and time in the private sector.
While questions from the audience, the former governor of Lagos State revealed that efforts by those who queried his school records had ended in disappointment.
In his words, “Deloitte trained me as an accountant. Mobile Oil has attested to my outstanding record and I’ve gotten to the pinnacle of my career in the private sector. Who among them can brag about that?”
“If you want to wrestle with pigs, you’ve got to live with the dirt. That is what I am doing. I went into politics knowing fully well that it is a muddy water. Smog will come, but you will have to live with the dirt and make sure you are upright to finish the job.” He had remarked.
