The All Progressives Congress, APC, leadership has encouraged members of the National Assembly to collaborate with the executive arm of government, especially as a lot was expected of them from Nigerians.
Senator Abdullahi Adamu, the national chairman had made the call when the Senate President Godswill Akpabio had led members of the Senate on a Sallah homage to his Keffi residence in Nasarawa State.
Adamu had also remarked that the competition for offices were over, therefore good governance had be faced squarely.
In his words:
“There must be effective collaboration between the legislature and the executive government in the general interest of our people.”
“Nigerians expect a lot through you and goals can only be achieved through the legislature and the executive working unitedly, in sync in bipartisan manner.”
It is still to early to determine if Adamu’s charge would be taken seriously or if it will be politics as usual in Nigeria.
