Arsenal continue their fine home form with a 2-0 victory over Brentford, thus maintaining their unbeaten league record at the Emirates this season. The Gunners scored early after the village arteta from shuffled his starting in and out to Mertz, Mikel Merino, who made good of Noni Madueke and Ben White’s fine play with a precise header. Brentford did not stay quiet. They shot and forced David Raya into an excellent save to prevent the ball from hitting the woodwork after Kevin Schade’s header. Before the break, the Gunners engineered more openings with Madueke being denied twice in a row by Rico Henry inside the box.
A Brentford side looked more ready after the break to challenge the home side, an effect which brought on Saka and Eze for Arteta. The Gunners kept it up with the game, and relative to Saka, on the spot, an unstoppable shot after long refusals by Caoimhin Kelleher finally made the score 2-0. The win keeps Arsenal five points ahead of the pack, while Brentford are mid-table after another London derby defeat.

The Yorkshire team at home made a big noise playing a high-tempo game, which allowed them to thrash Chelsea 3-1. This way, the club that has been most troubled by relegation moves out of it; meanwhile, the Blues get a massive setback in their title craving. Determined Jaka Bijol and Ao Tanaka fired in goals for Leeds to bring the score to their favour at halftime after their constant pressing led Chelsea to make mistakes. Chelsea responded promptly after the break with a goal by Neto, but many missed opportunities by Cole Palmer eventually proved to be the difference between the two teams. A defensive mistake gave a chance to Dominic Calvert-Lewin a chance to score the final goal for Leeds, who are three points above the drop zone after the win. Chelsea, on the other hand, continues to be in the fourth position after yet another poor away performance.
Liverpool, for the first time this season, refrained from losing, but at the same time, they could not win as they drew 1-1 with Sunderland at Anfield. The score of the game was levelled late through an own goal by Nordi Mukiele. The Black Cats scored the first goal with Chester Talbi, after taking advantage of a mistake by Virgil van Dijk. In the final moments of the match, Liverpool managed to equalise when Florian Wirtz’s shot took a deflection. The Reds managed to hold on to their draw despite the late scare, but the question is, why were they so lethargic again?
