Media personality Toke Makinwa has opened up about her willingness to become a fifth wife if the opportunity arises.

Speaking during a recent episode of her podcast, Toke Moments, the 40-year-old revealed that she would not hesitate to become a second, third, fourth, or even fifth wife.

“At this point in my life, if I have the opportunity to marry again, as a second, third, fourth or fifth wife, I will take it,” she said light-heartedly.

This comes as she reflected on her journey, including her past marriage to Maje Ayida, which ended in 2017 following allegations of infidelity.

In an earlier episode of her podcast, Toke spoke about navigating life as a single, childless woman in her forties. She explained that while such realities once made her emotional, she has now embraced her current phase of life.

She said: “I am 40, I am single, and I am childless. I said it, and I didn’t die, and that always made me tear up. I used to feel like, how am I 40 and I don’t have a child? How am I 40 and I single? How am I 40, and I am alone? Listen, if I am completely honest with you guys, if I had gotten married again, I would have been divorced. Because the lessons never stop”.

Toke stressed that she has chosen to focus on the love in her life and her achievements rather than societal expectations.
