Nollywood actor Olanrewaju Omiyinka has opened up on the rape claims made against him by his colleague Princess, insisting that he was unfairly targeted and never engaged in any sexual misconduct.
In an interview with Biola Bayo, Baba Ijesha said Princess “knows she has betrayed everyone she has ever been friends with” and maintained that he never pursued her romantically.
“I never asked her out, never dated her, never hugged or kissed her. She cried to me the same way she’s crying now, saying she can’t do without me and my program. I won’t say what she didn’t say,” he said.

He also spoke about his relationship with Iyabo Ojo, revealing his disappointment over being doubted despite caring for her children when they were younger.
“What hurt me about Iyabo Ojo is that she has put Priscillia and her brother in my care when they were younger. Someone spoke about Iyabo and what she did, and I said, ‘Iyabo is my product, and I can’t ruin her.’ That is why Yomi Fabiyi is fighting so hard,” he explained.
The actor alleged that Princess orchestrated a setup, asking him to act in her home, and described his time in prison as a period where he became an ambassador among inmates.
“She told me to come and act. She said Lagos State gave her a series of productions. I made myself a prisoner’s ambassador. If it is true that I disvirgined this lady with a car key, let me die in prison. Prison is nobody’s mate,” he said.
Baba Ijesha also claimed that comedian I Go Die introduced him to Princess and added that he had suffered the loss of twins with his ex-partner.
“A comedian, I Go, Dye, introduced Princess to me. Did she tell the world that she secretly arranged an introduction for me, and that I turned it down? After the wedding, you said you want to go to the UK for a Master’s. I bought the ticket and all. Unknown to me, it’s a planned work. I would have had twins, but she removed them,” he said.
He strongly denied all allegations of sexual misconduct.
“I was destabilised. What’s my offence? What happened is different from what people are saying. I am not a paedophile? I am not a rapist? And I will never be. God only chose to bring me out,” Baba Ijesha stated.
The actor continues to defend his innocence as the controversy surrounding the allegations unfolds.
