It seems Glasgow Rangers no longer stand a chance to re-sign Leon Balogun back to the club, despite several clamors from fans to re-sign the player, as Leon Balogun just signed a one-year contract with sky bet championship club, Queens Park Rangers.
Balogun left Glasgow Rangers in June after his contract expired, and there have been several deliberations on whether the club should re-sign him or not.
Mick Baele, Queens Park Rangers head coach, is obviously very delighted with the signing of Balogun, this is their sixth Signing this summer.
According to Baele, Balogun had a lot of offers after his contract with Glasgow Rangers expired, whilst with Glasgow Rangers, he was a terrific player, as he featured in 37 league appearances and helped the club win the Scottish cup. He has vast experience, as he had featured in two major leagues, the premier league, and Bundesliga. They are extremely delighted to have him as their player.
He further admitted that he’s intrigued by Leon’s personality and composure, as he carries himself with so much Grace.
“He had a lot of offers so it is great we have been able to get him. He comes here on the back of two years at Rangers. He was fantastic in the season we won the league and last season he made 37 appearances in the team that won the Scottish Cup and reached the Europa League Final.
“He has got huge amounts of experience, has played in the Premier League and Bundesliga as well and I am delighted now with the strength we have defensively.”
Beale admits Balogun’s character off the pitch was also a big attraction, explaining: “I like the way he carries himself. He is a very special person in terms of his personality.
“He has got elite standards and I have seen that first hand.”
We wish Balogun a beautiful and injury-free career in QPR
