Billionaire businessman, Femi Otedola, has met with the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu, in Paris, France.

Otedola disclosed his meeting with Tinubu via a post on his social media accounts on Tuesday.

The businessman, who stated that he is always excited to visit Tinubu, wished the former governor of Lagos State well on his presidential ambition. He wrote: “I am always excited visiting my great friend Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu.

“May God grant him his heart’s desire in becoming the President of this great nation.”

Tinubu had last Monday departed Nigeria for France.

Several prominent Twitter users reacted to Femi Otedola’s open stance for Bola Ahmed Tinubu by criticizing the tweet. One user @VictorIsreal had this to say:

“Femi Otedola can go ahead and support Bola Ahmed Tinubu but as for me and millions of young Nigerians who have been beaten by the cold hands of Bad governance, we will vote for @PeterObi. Cuppy’s father is protecting his children’s interests, I’ll do the same too! Two can play.”

Another user @SeniormanOA tweeted: “I don’t understand why you people are upset lol, you can’t be proper rich without the influence of politics. The elites will align with those who serve their best interest, you align with those that serve yours. Such is life.”
