Bobrisky Freed After Four Months in Prison for Spraying Naira Notes

Nigerian Instagram celebrity, Idris Okuneye, aka Bobrisky, who was put behind bar for four months for misconception on naira, has been released today, 5th of August, 2024.

Bobrisky, who is famous for an extravagant life was arrested on 4th of April, 2024 by the EFCC for spitting new naira notes at the movie premiere. He accepted to the charges and was accordingly convicted and sentenced to serve six months in prison.

Consequently, Bobrisky’s defense lawyer urged the court to be lenient hence the defendant has no previous criminal record. However, the appeal was declined and Bobrisky was forced to stay behind bars as expected.

His freedom was publicly announced in an Instagram video by his friend, Abiodun Folashade Tokunbo, with caption:

“Finally, O.U.TTTTT… BOBRISKYYYY fine die”. Bobrisky also joined the party to celebrate his freedom and new chapter in his life by commenting on the post, saying, “I love you.”
