The Governor of Anambra State, Charles Soludo has just recently, described the ‘Obidient Movement’ as an offshoot of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
The Governor who criticized the ambition of the Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, had declared his support for the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, -APGA, Justice Peter Umeadi.
This was all contained in a statement issued by, Dr. Alex Obiogbolu, his Special Adviser on Political Matters.
Soludo had also said that APGA was the third-largest political party in the country and that the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, should have zoned its presidential ticket to the South-East.
In his words, the Anambra state government had said:
“APGA does not see the wave of the ‘Obidient Movement’ as a threat towards achieving its already set goals in 2023.”
“The Labour Party, LP, and the ‘Obidient Movement’ are offshoots of the PDP. Therefore, they stand as a big threat to PDP, and not APGA,”
