Brazil has just declared a state of emergency after numerous cases of avian flu were discovered.
The country had announced a state of animal health emergency that will last for 180 days in a bid to try to control the country’s first ever highly pathogenic avian influenza virus in wild birds. This information was contained in a document signed by the nation’s Agricultural Minister, Mr Carlos Favaro.
