There has been an explosion at Aba Road, Sabon Gari, Kano state today 17th of May, 2022. Although the number of casualties has not been ascertained, it is a fear that many people have died and are injured due to this incident.
The Kano state government has confirmed this explosion and said it did not happen in the school as earlier said but at an animal feed store opposite the school along Aba Road, Sabon Gari area of Fagge Local Government. The cause of this explosion has not been discovered yet but a full-blown investigation has been launched to determine the cause and the impact.
The state Commissioner for Information, Muhammad Garba, has urged residents of the area and Kano state to remain calm while they allow the government to do its work.
Security operatives; the army, police, NSCDC, the National Emergency Management Agency, and Fire service operatives have surrounded the place and are doing their best to rescue the victims of the explosion were also on the ground trying to rescue victims of the explosion.
