Arrangements have been released for the final farewell of gospel singer Bunmi Akinnaanu, who passed away earlier this month after a prolonged illness.

The much-loved artiste died on January 12 following a lengthy struggle with a severe leg condition. Her passing came not long after she had reached out publicly for prayers and spiritual support, a moment that touched many within the gospel music space and beyond.

The burial programme was shared by fellow gospel musician Alayo Melody, who posted the full schedule on Instagram to inform fans and well-wishers.

According to the plan, a service of songs will be held on Tuesday, January 20, at the LTV 8 ground in Ikeja, Lagos. Later that evening, a candlelight walk is scheduled for 7 pm, followed by a tribute and artistes’ night set for 8 pm.

The burial service itself will take place on Wednesday, January 21, and will be limited to family members and close associates, as confirmed by the singer’s family.

Bunmi Akinnaanu began her music journey at just 10 years old and eventually left a career in banking to pursue gospel music full-time. She became widely known for her emotional hit song Omije Ojumi, which gained popularity across churches and Christian homes in Nigeria.
