Popular music executive Paulo Okoye has said Burna Boy as the richest musician in Nigeria. In a recent Instagram live chat with popular podcaster Daddy Freeze, Okoye disclosed that the Grammy winner made $80 million in 2023.
Okoye then praised Burna Boy further stressing that he is in a league of his own when it comes to making money in Nigerian music industry. As pointed out by Okoye, Burna Boy has a very close circle which he works with which includes his mother, sister and a few others. He also pointed out that Burna Boy’s core team entails fewer than eight people, while others are contractors and consultants.
“Burna Boy is the richest. The only person making money in Nigeria is Burna Boy, he made at least $80 to $100 million four years ago. Burna Boy is the richest.” Okoye stated confidently during the session, highlighting the musician’s dominance in the industry.
