Caitlin Clark said there was a lot to be proud of after the Indiana Fever lost to the Las Vegas Aces in the first round.
The Fever opened Game 3 on fire, running out to 31 points in the first quarter, but other than that, poor offense plagued much of the game. Clark was held scoreless for over 21 minutes, and Boston and Kelsey Mitchell couldn’t generate enough points.
A’ja Wilson scored 36 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for the Aces in a 94-83 win to eliminate Indiana.
‘We were right there, and I thought, ‘We probably played a C game,’ ‘Clark said. ‘It hurts, but a lot of positives to take away from it, too.’

Clark played an MVP-type role in her first season back from injury last year, leading the Fever back to the playoffs for a second straight season. But Clark also admitted that the Fever’s postseason appearance will come with added pressure heading into her fourth WNBA campaign.
“Obviously we live in a world of instant gratification and everybody expects me to win a championship immediately,” Clark said. “And that’s definitely my goal and I think this team has the potential to do that.”
Indiana now turns to the roster, as Kelsey Mitchell is scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent.
