Nigerian afrobeats singer, Iyanya, has disclosed that one of the necklaces belonging to his colleague Mayorkun, which was reportedly stolen in Calabar, Cross River State, has been returned.
Earlier this morning, Mayorkun made a promise to never to perform in Calabar again after he was purportedly robbed of his multi-million Naira jewellery while he was in the city to perform at an event.
Iyanya had following Mayorkun’s vow, appealed to whomever/those in possession of the necklace to return it, promising a boon for the gesture.
However, on Tuesday afternoon, Iyanya disclosed through his official X handle that one of the necklaces has already been returned.
He made a post on the platform, sharing a picture of one of the necklaces with the inscription, ‘The Mayor Of Lagos,’
Iyanya had captioned the post: “Thank you the guy who brought this back this morning to THE GRAND HOTEL CALABAR.
Iyanya had promised to give $500 to anyone who brought back the second necklace, which had the inscription, ‘Of Lagos’.
