CAN Mourns The passage of former President

The Christain Association of Nigeria has mourned the passing of its former president, His Eminence Dr. Sunday Mbang. Dr Sunday Sunday Mbah who served as the Emeritus Prelate of the Methodist Church of Nigeria died at the age of 86. 

In a statement released by Archbishop Daniel Okoh, the current president of CAN. He described the deceased as straight forward and bold leader, who had the interest of his country at heart and also dedicated his life to serving God, having served six decades in God’s vineyard. He also said that they’ll continue to remember him for his contribution to the unity of the country and his exemplary lifestyle to all.

He further sympathized with the family of the deceased, the Methodist Church, Nigeria, and the entire Christain body in Nigeria.

He said, “Dr Mbang was one of the most forthright and courageous faith leaders of our time who meant well for his country, Nigeria; thus, dedicated his life to the service of God and humanity. His commitment to the gospel of Christ and his unwavering dedication to the unity of all Nigerians irrespective of our diverse reality as a people will always be remembered as a shining example to follow.

“We extend our deepest condolences to his family, the Methodist Church Nigeria, and the entire Christian community in Nigeria. We pray that God will comfort and strengthen them during this difficult time.
