The Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN will meet with all the presidential hopefuls, including APC’s Asiwaju Bola Tinubu who decided to run on a Muslim-Mulsim platform.
The CAN President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh had already given his reasons for the meeting, saying that his organization had taken the time to check the issues impeding peace and progress in the country and had articulated suggestions on how to best improve them during the first leg of an interactive session with 2023 presidential candidates held by the top Christian organization in Abuja on Tuesday, November 15.
The archbishop had then attributed the difficulties Nigerians have been facing as a result of the incoherent constitutional and institutional framework in the country. The presidential dialogue theme is given as: ‘A Prosperous and Peaceful Nigeria Founded on Justice and Freedom for All’.
Archbishop Okoh then further asserted that the dialogue’s main objective will be to ensure that each presidential contender fully understands the issues affecting Nigerian Christians and then proffers solutions in the form of programs and policies.
