Jamie Carragher has condemned Mohamed Salah’s interview, describing it as “a disgrace” and hoping that the Liverpool striker’s career at the club is not yet over.
The ex-Liverpool defender responded vehemently after Salah stated that his connection with manager Arne Slot had deteriorated and accused the club of “betraying him” following his exclusion from the starting lineup. Salah has been sidelined for three games as Liverpool’s disappointing run has resulted in only two victories in their last 10 Premier League matches, slipping to eighth place in the standings.
During Monday Night Football, Carragher implied that Salah’s remarks were intentional of spontaneous asserting that the striker chose the timing of his interview to create maximum disturbance following Liverpool’s 3-3 draw with Leeds United.

Although he criticized, Carragher confessed he wishes Salah’s journey at Anfield hadn’t concluded this way, calling him one of the club’s all-time players. Salah did not join the team for the Champions League game against Inter. Suggested that the forthcoming Brighton fixture might be his final game before departing for AFCON with Egypt.
Liverpool boss Arne Slot said he was surprised by Salah’s comments but did not rule out a possible return. Slot confirmed their relationship was not discussed in-depth and said future decisions would be made after the European fixture.
