Court of Arbitration for Sport set October 8 for a hearing on the Senegal-Morocco row over the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations title.

The Senegal-Morocco dispute all started after a highly-charged AFCON final where Senegalese 1-0 victory over their opponents Morocco had a few walk out of field after match for a controversial penalty decision.

On the other side, the Teranga Lions returned to play the match but CAF stated Senegal was in violation as they walked of the field without approval.

The controversial appeal committee decided March 2026 to void that outcome and give 3-0 as the win to the Morocco men and that saw the atlas lions win the 2025 AFCON tournament.

Dispute with CAF decision, Senegal contested the ban and appealed to CAS by argued that the disciplinary outcome should not dictate results from a completely played final, and senegalese federation want the result back on the table and not voided.

Senegalese Federation and CAF and Morocco reps all will present submissions to the arbitration for court in Lausanne Switzerland and result still pending. Till date Morocco are recognised as AFCON 2025 champions.
