A moment of brilliance from Rafael Leão sealed a fifth straight victory for Milan. While the Portuguese star blasted in a brilliant goal after dancing through Girona’s defense, Mike Maignan’s crucial save ensured Milan collected its first clean sheet of the season.
Sparta Praha 0-1 Inter
Lautaro Martínez’s deft volley gave Inter another 1-0 victory, and made sure of its position at the top of the group, with 16 points. Yann Sommer’s vital saves kept Sparta Praha at bay.
Arsenal 3-0 Dinamo Zagreb
Arsenal cruised to dominant home win against rivals from North London Declan Rice hit the early tone, Gabriel Martinelli back-hall’d Kai Havertz and Martin Ødegaard in for the second and third.
Celtic 1-0 Young Boys
A late own goal from Loris Benito gave Celtic a narrow win. The second win for Brendan Rodgers’ side was secured by Marvin Keller’s penalty save and Celtic’s battling resistance with ten men.
Feyenoord 3-0 Bayern Munich
Feyenoord surprised Bayern in Rotterdam. Santiago Giménez struck a pair of goals, and Ayase Ueda finished the upset. Bayern’s Sven Ulreich was red-carded as the German giants tumbled down the table.
PSG 4-2 Manchester City
PSG will say it was a second-half comeback, but it was frantic, and they came back from two goals down to beat Manchester City. The strikes from Ousmane Dembélé, Bradley Barcola, João Neves and Gonçalo Ramos canceled out those from Jack Grealish and Erling Haaland.
Real Madrid 5-1 Salzburg
Rodrygo and Vinícius Júnior sparkled as Madrid raced past Salzburg. Jude Bellingham provided two assists, Kylian Mbappé scored, and Mads Bidstrup also scored in a lopsided contest.
