Singer and activist Charles Oputa, popularly known as Charly Boy, recently opened up on scarred phases in his life. In an interview on Duke Rants, the 74-year-old made it known how he was abused by his nanny when he was just 12 years old. Of course, at that age, he said he did not quite understand what was going on but accepted all that was happening, not struggling with it.
He further shared that when he was a teenager, he frequented brothels and even got infected once when he was young. Reflecting on his experiences, he talked about the fact that intimacy is more than just a physical thing; it can be relayed through emotional and mental connections.
Discussing men’s health, Charly Boy said that most men from mid-30s into the mid-40s do have problems related to erectile dysfunction and that he thought this may take away their confidence. He therefore asserted that the struggles were common and that mental well-being was attached to one’s physical health.
This story from Charly Boy explains better the relevance of support for young people and being on guard over health problems most adults are likely to have.
