Chelsea were forced to a 0–0 stalemate with Bournemouth, making it the first time the Blues did not find the net since the season’s opening weekend of the Premier League. Nonetheless, this outcome prolongs their streak, on the road across all tournaments to seven games.

Bournemouth, without a victory in their five matches before the encounter began strongly and believed they had scored the opener within four minutes when Antoine Semenyo finished, but VAR disallowed the goal due to Evanilson being offside in the buildup. The home side kept posing a danger during the half, with their best chance coming when Robert Sánchez blocked Semenyo’s shot onto Evanilson, who then missed from close range. Chelsea found it hard to produce any chances before the break and suffered a setback when Liam Delap went off injured.

During the half, the visitors displayed increased urgency, challenging former Chelsea goalkeeper Đorđe Petrović with numerous efforts. Alejandro Garnacho’s header that struck the post was their chance to score. Bournemouth faced a blow when key defender Marcos Senesi had to leave due to injury. They stayed organised and threatening on the counterattack.

Semenyo nearly scored a late goal, but Sanchez was there to produce a great save, and both sides settled for a point. Chelsea’s unbeaten run against Bournemouth now stretches to eight games, while the Blues drop valuable points in the title race, slipping eight points behind leaders Arsenal.
