Chelsea forward Cole Palmer has been confirmed to be out again due to an unfortunate incident in which he broke his toe at home. The player will not be able to feature in the club’s next three matches against Burnley, Barcelona and Arsenal. As a matter of fact, just when he was set to return from a groin injury and limited to only three Premier League appearances this season, Palmer fractured his left little toe after he forcibly rubbed it against a door.
Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca confirmed the setback, saying the player got “nothing important” but still serious enough to be out for at least the next two weeks. “It’s fractured. We are not sure how long he will be out,” said Maresca. “He was able to walk alright but as far as the small toe is concerned, the contact with the boot can be extremely painful.”

Before the unfortunate incident, Palmer was back to training at Cobham. However, Chelsea, without Palmer, have still managed to win four of their six league games since his last appearance — a 2-1 defeat at Manchester United.
Maresca acknowledged that the team is more powerful with Palmer on the pitch but the team’s spirit got him through this tough period. Chelsea are now gearing up for a rigorous schedule as they continue their chase at the summit of the Premier League table.
